Races – From his days as an All-Conference safety for the Golden Buffaloes of the University of Colorado to his brief NFL career, Ryan has always had a competitive spirit. These days his thirst for competition is quenched as an amateur participant in just about anything he can find. Ryan has completed numerous triathlons including 2 Ironmans, participates regularly in local mountain bike, trail running and snowshoe series, and in 2009 fullfilled his dream of one day running the New York City Marathon. Then he ran it again in 2010.  Ryan gains inspiration for his events from the efforts of First Descents and supports that organization through race based fund raising.

Ryan’s lust for adventure has lead him trekking all-around his home state of Colorado. In 2005 he completed a climb up and snowboard decent down South America’s largest mountain Aconcaqua and has hopes to climb all of the planet’s highest peaks. Almost as important as the climb itself in the appreciation for the natural environment that makes it all possible.
